The albums epic track 15 minutes of oppressive beauty
lyrics
Sorrow and Certainty
Hold on to the night, and mourn with me
Too long have you suffered this toll.
your guise of hope and love bereaved
Forsaken and forlorn, let us weep and let us fall
move on, but forever... recall
That our God laughs as we make our plans
And who will save our souls?
Misery Mae....Misery mae
behold, I was shapen in wickedness, and in sin hath my mother conceived me.
cast me not away from thy presence...purge me....
thou shalt wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
turn thy face from my sins, and put me out of all my misdeeds.
for i acknowledge my faults: and my sin is ever before me
Give to us this day of mourning
with sorrow and with certainty
We pass on as stars and morning light
this fragile presence....mended by fresh tears
Save me, Save me
This creaking of old flesh,
Rattling sales, weathered and torn
HERE Have mercy on me, misery laid upon my shoulder
The leaves...Change...All AT Once
Pale. tones, pound into dust
against thee only have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight,
that though mightiest be justified. in thy saying, and clear when thou art judged
Clement, merciful one...judge not our sins, but what of our dreams what shall become?
Clement, merciful one, judge not our sins...our deeds
Have mercy on me oh God, after thy great goodness...come in from the rain...Leave your hope behind....Come in from the rain...I offer you the stars. Rest your weary head...
"According to the multitude of thy mercies....do away with mine offenses....wash me thoroughly of my wickedness and cleanse me from my sins"
"In eternity, where there is no time....nothing can grow, nothing can become, nothing changes....so death created time to grow the things that it would kill and you are reborn but into the same life, that you have always been born into"
Clement, merciful one, judge not our sins, but what of our dreams, what shall become?
Clement merciful one, just not our sins...our deeds
Idols of stone, granite sculptures pray, great protector, shroud me from the light of day, your time will come....heroes who fall....with brevity
Awakened by tears,
How I wept within a dream,
how ..I wish I ...could show you.
It was so vivd, so real.

Shroud of Bereavement's music is akin to attending a funeral for everyone you have ever loved. The Boston-based group
achieves this moribund feeling by incorporating all the right musical elements: cellos, piano, violin, and dual female vocal harmonies layered on top of harsh death vocals, played at the pace of mile-long funeral procession.....more

Russian Progressive Doom Heavy Rock... A nostalgic journey immersing influences and references from Rush to Sabbath. Instrumental of levels that escape comprehension in its construction and complexity with absurdly incredible guitar solos, lyrics and vocals of perfect melodies that deeply mark the soul - a magical album... 70's vibes! Female fronted awesome vocal on speedy formula, not your usual and sometimes boring sympho-metal... no no no, this is really something else, and worth listening to. Traditional HM with a hint of speedy/thrashy pace and drumming which makes you shake your head (or booty, or both). The "rogue" vocals makes this especially outstanding!! sachavonkarl74
